Many people are afraid to go on a work from home effort nowadays as a result of so many scams. While there are a lot of scams out there and ridiculous get rich schemes, there are also legitimate programs out there as well that many people overlook because of fear. There are many ways to spot a scam and specific things that I personally look for. Here's a few small tips to begin with. Many scams are now well known to come from countries such as Nigeria, so this is one of the things that I looking for first. I think that United States based companies have the slightest reputation for scams and therefore not good prejudice, but unfortunately this is just the way that it is. This does not mean, of course, that if I found a work from home business in India say I would automatically assume, they were a scam, but I would be a little more tired. I would look at grammar second. Now I find a bunch of websites often have a misspelled word or two that is fine. However, if a website owners grammar that of a person, then I might be public sounding twice.
The first things I look for to spot an immediate work from Home Scam
1. a free hosted Website: I see a lot of this around and it is certainly a big red flag! If someone even can't afford to spend $ 10 per month to host a website and they are offering employment or better yet they want to show you how to make money from home, well obviously they don't do too well itself. So you want to not do what they do! I would immediately get off to that website and keep watching!
2. a Webpage that does not have a privacy policy: now legally each Web site must have a privacy policy to let who visits their site knows exactly what information it collects, why and who are they to share with, if anyone. Many websites have a subscription field where you enter your e-mail address and possibly more information enter so you will want to make sure that the company you visit is not always illegal to sell your data or something do with it. So having a privacy policy is a must.
3. a company that does not use a terms of use page: now this particular page isn't exactly required, but it protects the webmaster of getting in trouble or sued for various reasons, so if he or she does not have this type of page I think automatically of course that this person is not worried in case they get in trouble or not. This is another big red flag! I think they don't plan on the online very long or they are already scamming people so they don't follow the rules yet.
4. No Way contact the company: If a company has no way to email or phone them than they do not hear from you want plain and simple. So if this company is selling something or offering a service, how are you supposed to receive customer support? This is certainly an immediate sign of a scam. Move on!
5. a company who Doesn't answer Emails: now believe it or not, I've come across this problem many times and it is quite an annoyance. I want to purchase a service from a company and just to make sure that they are legitimate that I usually sends them an email. If I don't get a reply then I know it is a scam and will not lose more time on this site. I figure if the webmaster can not take the time to a simple email just to let me know she still even in business than they don't deserve my business or my money for that matter even answer. Now this does not mean that if you don't email them within 5 minutes they are automatically a scam. No, you must allow at least one company 24 hours to return the email that is enough time to give to be honest. If you don't hear from them after a day or two, go. Their not worth your time.
If you only attention, is a work from home scam fairly easy to recognize. Can I scan a website and pretty much know if it is a scam be on the website within seconds.
